Ahmad Mola Nissi shot and killed in The Hague
The Hague - This afternoon a man has been shot and killed in the Jan van Riebeekstraat.
Just before 5 PM the emergency services received numerous calls, saying there had been a shooting. Based on that information, they dispatched many police units to the scene. To attend to the victim, two ambulances and a trauma team were also on scene.
The victim of the shooting was found in a critical medical condition and received CPR. All medical help did not save him; he was pronounced dead on the scene.
The police searched the surrounding neighborhoods for the killer(s). They did not release a description. The Jan van Riebeekstraat has been closed partially, to preserve evidence.
When Mr. Nissi was pronounced dead, the police placed screens around the crime scene. Crime scene investigators are searching for evidence, while detectives are going door-to-door to ask neighbours what they have seen and heard.
According to local media the person who was assasinated is Ahmad Mola Nissi, the founder of the Arab Struggle Movement. The Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz is an Arab nationalist insurgent group that advocates for a separate Arab state in Khuzestan Province from Iran. It is classified as a terrorist group by the Iranian government.
Update January 8, 2019: Today it is announced that Ahmad Mola Nissi was killed by the Iran government. The EU has announced sanctions on the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and Security and on two people involved in the liquidations. Their bank balances are frozen.

A man that was seen around the crime scene and was behaving suspiciously was arrested by the police. His possible involvement is being investigated.
Update nov. 10th: The man was released by the police. No charges have been filed against him.
